Oil price jumps to $46.37

Oil price continues to shoot up following a mixed weekly inventory report. The NYMEX U.S. light crude oil for February series at one point rose to a high of $46.60 per barrel, before settling 69 cents higher at $46.37 a barrel. The London Brent crude was up 45 cents at $43.70 per barrel.

The metal segment saw the COMEX gold jump $4.20 to settle at $426.60 an ounce.
