Oil price scales up to $48.04

Oil price rise in the international market continues, as the NYMEX U.S. light crude oil for February series jumped $1.67 to close at $48.04 a barrel. The London Brent crude was up 57 cents at $45.25 per barrel.

In the metal segment, the COMEX gold dipped $1.40 to settle at $425.10 an ounce.
