Oil price slips to $47.26

Global oil prices cooled off yesterday after rising steadily in the last few sessions. While the Nymex U.S. light crude oil for March delivery dipped 18 cents to $47.26 a barrel, the London Brent crude lost 38 cents to settle at $45.12 per barrel.

In the metal segment, the COMEX gold finished unchanged from its previous close at $427.30 an ounce.
