Oil prices ease in Asian trade

Oil prices eased today as Asian trade resumed for the New Year in a market focussed on mild North American weather.

At 0815 IST New York's main contract, light sweet crude for delivery in February, slipped 18 cents to $60.87 a barrel from $61.05 in late US trades Friday.
