Oil prices slide to $41.32

Oil price eased on the New York Mercantile Exchange as the February light crude oil dipped $2.86 to close at $41.32 a barrel. The London's Brent contract remained closed on account of Christmas holiday.

The metal segment saw the COMEX gold gain $3.20 to settle at $446.20 an ounce.
