Oil PSUs summon ex-employees before strike

Public sector oil companies have summoned ex-employees as part of contingency plans to run aviation facilities in case the officers of oil firms go on strike from tommorow."We have drawn up a contingency plan to run aviation refueling facilities with the help of former employees and may also summon territorial army to run refineries and oil fields if the strike lasts beyond first couple of days." said a government official.

ONGC and HPCL have got separate stay orders from Delhi High Court against the indefinite strike call given by Oil Sector Officers Association (OSOA) beginning 0600 hours on September 5, seeking higher wages.On September 1, the Government had given final touches to a contingency plan to run oilfields and refineries in the event of officers of oil PSUs going on an indefinite strike from September 5.
