Oil slides to $45.28

Oil prices dipped on day one of the fresh trading week, with the U.S. Nymex light crude oil for March delivery ending $1.20 lower at $45.28 a barrel. The London Brent crude fell 95 cents to $42.95 per barrel.

In the metal segment, the COMEX gold lost 50 cents to settle at $415.40 an ounce.
