Oil slips to $47.55

Oil prices in the international market eased yesterday, with the NYMEX U.S. light crude oil for February delivery falling by 83 cents to settle at $47.55 a barrel. The London Brent crude was down 62 cents at $44.76 per barrel.

In the metal segment, the COMEX gold dipped 20 cents to close at $423.30 an ounce.
