Oil up at $49.16/bbl

Global crude oil prices registered gains on Monday, with the Nymex U.S. light crude oil for July delivery rising 51 cents to close at $49.16 a barrel. The London Brent crude gained 30 cents to $48.33 per barrel.

The metal segment saw the Comex gold dip 80 cents to settle at $416.90 an ounce.
