Oil up at $59.84/bbl

Crude oil prices showed no signs of easing as it inched up further on Friday. While the Nymex U.S. light crude oil for August delivery rose 42 cents to $59.84 a barrel, the London Brent crude moved up 40 cents to close at $58.40 per barrel.

The commodity segment saw the Comex dip $1.20 to settle at $442 an ounce.
