Impressed by Congress leader Rahul Gandhi's straight talk with the people of militancy-hit Jammu and Kashmir during recent elections, Chief Minister Omar Abdullah plans to invite him to the state to interact with the youth off the record and sans media.

"I hope to bring Rahul Gandhi to Kashmir a few times to interact off the record, no media, no cameras, nothing, just to talk to the youngsters outside the big cities," Omar said.

He (Rahul) would sit down and understand what the youth aspire to and what they are looking for, he said.

Omar was appreciative of what Rahul Gandhi said during the election campaign that he was not hear to ask for any thing, 'all he wants is to extend hand of friendship to the youth of Kashmir and he hopes that they reciprocate.' That's a very important sentiment, he said.
