"With effect from August 2005, the government has permitted ONGC to market indigenously produced kerosene to non-PDS consumers, but only after meeting the demand of oil marketing companies for the distribution of kerosene under PDS," petroleum minister Mani Shankar Aiyar said in a written reply to the Lok Sabha today.
The government has also authorised ONGC, GAIL and Reliance to sell indigenously produced LPG in the country.
The authorisation for LPG marketing was subject to sale in urban and rural markets in the ratio of 75:25, and to domestic and non-domestic (bulk or packed segement) in the ratio of 80:20, the minister said.
