BUSINESS STANDARD

Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) has asked the government to allow it to choose the market and the price for its crude oil after the dismantling of the administered pricing mechanism (APM) in the petroleum sector on March 31, 2002.

ONGC has made it clear to the government that though it does not intend to export the crude oil produced by it, this option should be available to it to leverage the prices.
