Several Opposition MPs today petitioned Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, asking him to intervene in the controversy over the uplinking of Star News from the country.
They also called for the setting up of a regulatory body to ensure a level playing field for Indian and foreign broadcasters in the country.
The move follows Star TV CEO Peter Mukherjea Peter Mukerjea
