A survey to rank the top schools across India has declared Nashik-based Orchid International School as the fifth best school in western region of the country and 19th best school all over India. The western region includes the states of Maharashtra, Goa and Gujarat.
The survey, conducted by Education World-C fore Survey (centre for forecasting and research), Delhi covered 15 cities.
The schools were assessed under three different categories—day school, boarding schools and international schools. A total of 2026 people were interviewed. The people interviewed consisted of parents, teachers, principals and educationists.
The parameters of the ten-point scale of assessment were competence of faculty, academic reputations, co-curricular activities, sports, individual attention to students, infrastructure, value for money, leadership/management quality, parental involvement, quality of alumni, integrity/honesty and selectivity or transparency in admissions.
“Orchid International School has once again established itself as a school par excellence, establishing benchmarks which conform well with the standards laid down not only for international schools but for day and boarding schools, and remarkably so, over a span of just two years. This is a promising school and will not take long to establish itself as one of the best institutions of the nation,” said Dhirendra Patil, Director, Orchid International School, at a press conference.
A detailed study of the assessment reveals that Orchid International School has been rated the second best in co-curricular activities after Mayo College, Ajmer and holds the third position in competency of faculty after Mayo College, Ajmer and Maharani Gayatri School, Ajmer.
Yet another feather in the school’s cap is the infrastructure Provision which has brought to it 85 points out of 100 just three points short of the highest score.
The school also holds the second position in the sphere of leadership/management quality and parental involvement in the school. The school holds the third position in terms of Value for money and selectivity.
