Orissa HC orders fresh hearing on power tariff

 Following adoption of pre-1992 norms for calculation of asset depreciation as suggested by the Sovan Kanungo committee report, the commission had earlier found a downward change in the revenue requirement of licensees Gridco and the four distribution companies Cesco, Nesco, Wesco and Southco to the tune of Rs 78.50 crore. The commission had passed on the benefit of this special revenue appropriation to the licensees.
