Orissa Likely To Slash Plan Outlay By30%

Orissa is likely to slash its plan outlay by 30 per cent following non-sanction of promised financial assistance by the World Bank and Department for International Development (DFID) of the UK government.

The joint mission of World Bank and Department for International Development (DFID), which was in Orissa for last few days to discuss about sanction of assistance to the medium term fiscal reforms programme in the state, is non-committal on providing any money during the current fiscal.
