The Ministry of Human Resource Developement, Government of India, has apponited Vardhman Group Chairman S P Oswal as the Chairman, Board of Management of Sant Longowal Institute of Engineering and Technology, Sangrur, Punjab.
Oswal, born in 1942, holds a Masters Degree in Commerce with a gold medal from Punjab University, Chandigarh. He has over 44 years of experience in the textile industry. He has been conferred with the prestigious Padma Bhushan Award this year for distinguished service in the field of trade and industry.
He was the founder, president and Director of Ludhiana Stock Exchange in the year 1983-87.
