After quizzing corporate czars Ratan Tata and Anil Ambani, the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) of Parliament will summon government officials in its next meeting.
Prime Minister Manmohan Singh’s Principal Secretary T K A Nair and Cabinet Secretary K M Chandrasekhar will come to depose before the panel on April 15. CBI chief A P Singh will come before the committee on the following day.
The committee, headed by BJP veteran Murali Manohar Joshi, is likely to submit its report by the end of April as it has almost completed its hearings. Joshi’s term will come to an end on April 30 and he is keen to close the issue before he leaves the chair.
