Pakistan has sought some additional information from India on David Headley, the Pakistani-American LeT operative who has confessed to his involvement in the Mumbai attacks.
Pakistan's High Commissioner to India Shahid Malik told Interior Minister Rehman Malik about the efforts to seek more information about Headley, who is being held in a US federal lock-up in Chicago, during a meeting here yesterday.
49-year-old Headley, whose father was a Pakistani and mother an American, was charged with helping the terrorists who attacked Mumbai in November 2008 by conducting a reconnaissance of the sites that were targeted. He subsequently confessed to his involvement in the attacks.
Pakistani terrorists belonging to the banned Lashker-e-Taiba carried out the attacks that killed 166 people, including six Americans.
Pakistani authorities have arrested seven men, including LeT commander Zakiur Rehman Lakhvi, on charges of facilitating and planning the attacks and put them on trial.
India and Pakistan have exchanged several dossiers on the Mumbai attacks.
Home Minister P Chidambaram has said Pakistan needs to do more to arrest the planners, financiers and handlers of the attacks.
