He informed that the plenary session on the interface between farmers' empowerment and information technology would discuss the impact of ICT (information, communication and technology) for the benefit of farming community. |
He said that the paricipation from the corporate sector and the academic institutions was arranged at the same platform, to synchronise the changing requirements of both. |
The issues pertaining to telemedicine and maintaining of health records electronically would be taken up in the conference. |
The national awards for e-governace would also be conferred during the two-day event. |
Chaudhary added that Haryana had launched its SWAN (state-wide area network) to empower citizen-centric developement. |
He said that the CSCs (community service centres) at village level (to begin with, a cluster of six villages would be covered for each centre) would provide information on crop prices, weather forecast, etc. It would later include more services. |
