Top leaders of three Kashmiri Pandit organisations yesterday accused Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Farooq Abdullah of declaring war on minorities of the state. Addressing a joint press conference here, Amar Nath Vaishnavi, Agnishekhar and T N Khosa said that the statement of the Chief Minister in the Assembly yesterday was uncalled for as it was not the intention of the minority to dilute the majority community of the state.

Abdullah had told the Assembly on Tuesday evening that his government would not allow the Muslim-majority status of Jammu and Kashmir to be diluted. Vaishnavi and Agnishekhar said they had expected Abdullah to respect the principles of participatory democracy.

They said that they had also hoped that the Chief Minister after coming to power would take measures to ameliorate the plight of the displaced pandits.

The leaders termed the killing of seven kashmiri pandits at sangrahmpura last saturday as a ``well planned conspiracy to promote more migration.
