The Planning Commission will set up a task force to callibrate a coordinated response to the issue of rural industrialisation and promotion of rural technology.
Announcing this, Planning Commission Deputy Chairman, KC Pant said that though many institutions were working for the development of rural technology, the outreach had been limited.
Making the announcement at the conclusion of a meeting to review the progress achieved in promotion of rural technology, Pant said that a coordinated mechanism would address the issues of rural technology in a holistic manner and would also help in poverty alleviation.
The meeting was attended by representatives from Khadi and Village Industries Commission, Council for Advancement of Peoples
