The Congress and the Left parties though, sent their letters of support to the Lalu Prasad-led Rashtriya Janata Dal today. These will be given to Raj Bhavan by Prasad when he goes to stake claim to form the government.
 
A Congress general secretary told Business Standard in Delhi that given time the LJP was likely to split on this issue and only the rump would remain with Ramvilas Paswan. This will enable Prasad to form a government.
