Mukherjee and Pawar met at the Dubai Airport last evening during the former's stopover en route to Egypt, sources said.
Pawar, Agriculture Minister and BCCI President, was in Dubai in connection with the two-day ICC annual conference which began today.
The two are believed to have deliberated on the current political stalemate over the nuclear deal and efforts underway to end that.
Pawar has been insisting that the Left parties' concerns over the nuclear deal should be taken into consideration while deciding on going ahead with the agreement.
