State-owned trading agency PEC has invited bids for the sale of 900 tonnes of pulses either through e-auction or closed bidding.

The bids for sale of toor and red lentils will close on June 9, and a decision on the same would be awarded on June 12, PEC said in a tender notice on its website.

The agency has invited bids for sale of 300 tonnes of toor sourced from Mozambique and 200 tonnes of red lentils from Canada, both grown in crop-year 2009.

In a separate tender, the trading agency invited bids for the sale of imported lemon toor and green moong, to close on June 10. A decision on the same would be awarded on June 13, the website said.

The bids were invited for selling 300 tonnes of lemon toor sourced from Myanmar, grown in crop year 2010, and 100 tonnes of green moong from Tanzania, grown in calendar year 2009.

All consignments are stationed at Mumbai, it added.
