People Combine group, which currently operates six schools including Oakridge, Westwood, Vikas and NTS (Nalanda Talent School) schools in Hyderabad, Visakhapatnam and Tenali, is planning to spread wings to other states, Karnataka to begin with.
“Our idea is to set up 16 more international schools across the country by 2015, each involving an investment of Rs 100 crore, including land cost. The first of the proposed schools will come up in Bangalore in 2012," Oakridge International School chairman Shomie Das, told mediapersons here on Thursday.
People Combine today opened an education division office at its Oakridge School in Hyderabad. The office was inaugurated by Vishakha Mulye, chairman and managing director of ICICI Venture Funds Management Company, which made its maiden debt investment of Rs 20 crore in the group recently.
