PERD Center to host Pharma Symposium next week

B V Patel Pharmaceutical Education & Research Development Center (PERD) will host a three-day symposium on Innovations in Pharmaceutical Sciences & Technology next week that will see participation from countries like the US, UK, Japan, Turkey, Germany and Italy.

The symposium, which is sixth in the series, will be held between November 26 to 28 and will be inaugurated by Gujarat chief minister Narendra Modi. The event is being organized by B. V. Patel PERD Center in association with Indian Drug Manufacturers Association (IDMA) and Organisation of Pharmaceutical Producers of India (OPPI).

C J Shishoo, director of PERD Center informed that eminent scientists like D J Triggle from the US, H. Terrada (Japan) among others would be attending the event.

 

Talking about the Symposium, Kamala K Vasu, Symposium secretary and assistant director, PERD Centre said, “At regular intervals B V PatelEducation Trust and PERD Centre organises a major International Symposium on Innovations in Pharmaceutical Sciences & Technology. Over the years these symposiums have evolved into major International Scientific Meets in Pharmaceutical Sciences & Technology, attracting distinguished technocrats, academicians, industrial scientists and pharmacists from India and abroad. This has made this symposium a truly multidisciplinary event, effective in promoting exchange of ideas and information for the betterment of healthcare. This year too, the symposium will see participation from countries like USA, Japan,UK, Turkey, Germany and Italy.”

“Around 30 internationally recognized scientists have accepted our invitation to deliver lectures in the forthcoming symposium. The focus of the symposium is on the new concepts and recent developments in Drug Discovery & Development, Novel Drug Delivery, Biotechnology etc”, she further added.
