Petro show to begin today in Ahmedabad

The Indian School of Petroleum (ISP), in association with Gujarat State Petroleum Corporation (GSPC) and the Gujarat Energy Research and Management Institute (GERMI), will organise 'Indian oil and gas-Destination Gujarat,' a two-day petro show, in Ahmedabad from Tuesday.
 
The show will be inaugurated by Saurabh Dalal, minister of state for energy and petrochemicals.
 
"There is so much happening in the oil and gas sector in Gujarat "" LNG terminals, a gas grid and the largest grass-root petroleum refinery in the world. Gujarat has perhaps the most vibrant hydrocarbon sector in India. We hope that the show will serve as a platform for exchange of views," said Sanjay Kaul, director, Indian School of Petroleum.
 
Experts from the oil and gas industry will address the show.
 
T N R Rao, chairman, board of advisors, Indian School of Petroleum, C K Koshy, chairman, GSPC, and Parag Diwan, vice-chancellor, University of Petroleum and Energy Studies, will address the inaugural function.
 
D J Pandian, managing director, GSPC, Avinash Chandra, chief consultant, Oil Industry Development Board, N G Kannan, director, marketing, Indian Oil Corporation, and Rajiv Kant Chaturvedi, chief operating officer (West), Reliance Industries Ltd, will address the show on Wednesday.
 
Five sessions scheduled for Wednesday include exploration and production, refining, petrol retailing, gas business and supply chain and pipeline of oil and gas in India.
 
PricewaterhouseCoopers is the knowledge partners for the show.
 
ISP is headquartered in New Delhi and was established in 2001 to provide world-class training, research and consultancy services in the entire spectrum of oil and gas industry. The institute has more than 50 top experts on its panel.
 
The institute has so far trained over 5,000 oil and gas industry professionals. The institute on its advisory board has eminent professionals and accomplished experts from diverse areas of petroleum operations.
