Petrol, Diesel Prices Hiked

The retail prices of petrol and diesel have been raised by Rs 1.37-Rs 1.63 a litre because of the spurt in the international prices of crude and additional excise duty on the two auto fuels announced in the Budget today.

Petrol prices have gone up by Rs 1.39 a litre in Delhi, Rs 1.40 a litre in Kolkata, and Rs 1.50 a litre in Mumbai and Chennai. Retail prices of diesel have increased by Rs 1.37 a litre in Delhi and Kolkata, and Rs 1.63 a litre in Mumbai and Rs 1.50 a litre in Chennai.
