A section of Air India pilots owing allegiance to the Indian Commercial Pilots Association (ICPA) today staged a silent march at the domestic airport in Mumbai to protest delay in payment of salaries and allowances.

ICPA is a non-executive pilots' body of erstwhile Indian Airlines pilots.

"We are not being paid on time for the past 3-4 months despite giving an all-time performance. The ICPA wants professional management to run the airline," ICPA Vice President Abu Ansari told reporters here.

"In the last 4-5 months, management has held some 30-odd meetings with us on the turnaround plans, but nothing has come out of it," Ansari said.

On the November 24 proposed strike by ICPA pilots, Ansari said, as of now the strike call is very much on.

However, he said adding, "We have a meeting with Chief Labour Commissioner in Delhi on November 20 and much would depend on its outcome."
