Pioneeronline Forays Into Overseas Mart

Pioneer Online has entered into a strategic alliance with IdeasGulf, a Jeddah -based consulting company, to market its online product portfolio in the Middle East. This is Pioneer's maiden international foray. IdeasGulf will introduce Pioneer's multimedia content generation and communication tool, NetAngelo, in the local market.

NetAngelo is an instant web site development, hosting and management tool for small and medium offices, enterprises and individuals. The product, developed by Pioneer Nvision covers all aspects of Internet communications including multimedia website creation and management from anywhere anytime, domain registration, hosting and site administration.

According to P Sridhar Reddy, the MD Pioneer Online, NetAngelo provides access to over 200 ready-to-use Flash designs spread across 18 business and personal categories. Each user will be provided with a 40 MB of hosting space, five e-mail accounts and a search submission facility.

 

A mail manager software is provided to create and manage the user's mail accounts. There is also a web mail to check one's mail box from anywhere using the browser. Value-added features are included to send eGreetings, eNvitations and online photo albums.

The product is customized to suit the Middle East and the company launched community websites like GulfIndians.com for non resident Indians in The Middle East, Balaash.com for Saudis in the region, GulfPakistani.com for Pakistanis and GulfKabayan.com for Philippinos residing in Middle East.

Pioneer has so far sold the product to about 2000 individual users. It has also entered into agreements with Bharti Tele and Hughes Tele so that the private operators can offer the product to their fixed line subscribers at a highly discounted price.
