Plea to bring in VAT soon

 The chamber has said that in the implementation of VAT issues relating to inter-state trade and commerce should be dealt with efficiently.

 It should be scientific both in respect of the movement of physical goods and documentation in originating and consumption states.

 It recommended that the Rajya Sabha, being the Council of States, should be the appropriate body to deal on the VAT issue and oversee its successful implementation.
