Prime Minister Manmohan Singh today met US President George W Bush and voiced concern over certain aspects of the American legislation on the Indo-US civil nuclear cooperation.

The meeting between Singh and Bush was held at the Konstantinovsky Palace on the sidelines of the G-8 summit. Singh was accompanied by National Security Advisor M K Narayanan and Foreign Secretary Shyam Saran.

This was the first interaction between the two leaders since Bush's visit to India in March this year. Singh is here to attend the outreach meeting of the G-8 summit along with leaders from China, Brazil, South Africa and Mexico.

The two leaders reviewed developments since Bush's visit to India, officials said.

Singh had yesterday told reporters accompanying him that progress of the US legislation for granting permanent waivers for nuclear commerce with India would figure during the meeting with Bush.
