PM files papers for RS re-election

Seeking re-election to the Rajya Sabha from his "adopted home state" of Assam for a fourth term, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh today filed his nomination papers promising to continue to work for the development of the state.
 
Singh, who has represented the constituency for the last 16 years, emphasised that he was an "Assamese at heart" although he may have been born somewhere else.
