Prime Minister Manmohan Singh will review the progress of Posco project in Orissa, involving the largest ever FDI of $12 billion, in a meeting with Orissa Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik and other senior officials in New Delhi tomorrow.

Sources said Patnaik will apprise the prime minister of the present status of the project besides discussing with him about other big ticket investments lined up in the state and the need for greater Central assistance for the development of key infrastructure facilities, crucial for implementation of these projects.

Though the Posco project will dominate the discussion, Patnaik will also brief the prime minister about other FDI projects like the Arcelor-Mittal steel plant in Keonjhar, the Dubal-L&T joint venture aluminium unit and Indo-Russian titanium sponge plant in Ganjam. A full list of projects with total proposed investment of Rs 4 lakh crore has been sent to the prime minister's office in advance.
