Prime Minister Manmohan Singh today appeared unperturbed by the uproar created by opposition in Parliament over the controversy surrounding Union Minister Shashi Tharoor.

"In politics, ups and downs keep happening," Singh said on board when asked specifically about the uproar over the issue in Parliament. He did not elaborate.

Minister of State for External Affairs Tharoor is facing allegations of having misused office to get sweat equity valued at Rs 70 crore for his friend Sunanda Pushkar in Kochi IPL franchise.

Three days ago, the Prime Minister said in Washington that he had heard about the allegations against Tharoor.

"I do not have all the facts before me. When I go back, I will get all the facts, and in the light of those, if any action is necessary, I think that would be the proper way to proceed."
