The industrial power tariff in Maharashtra would be reduced in two phases to bring it on a par with rates in the neighbouring states, Maharashtra Industry Minister Narayan Rane said here on Saturday.
The revised tariff would come into effect from May this year, he added.
Talking to reporters here, the minister expressed strong opposition to the proposed eco-sensitive status for the Konkan.
Regarding the issue of Maratha reservation, Rane said the committee headed by him would submit its report next month.
