The Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industry criticised the recommendation of the Gujarat Electricity Regulatory Commission to hike tariffs for domestic consumers in Ahmedabad. Reacting on the recommendation of the commission, GCCI said that it would badly hit more than eight lakhs consumers of Ahmedabad Electricity Company.
In a statement issued here on Saturday, Mahendra A Shah, president of GCCI said that GERC unfortunately had not taken into the consideration the request made by the GCCI to reduce the tariff.
