Civil Aviation Minister Praful Patel today appealed to cash-strapped Air India employees not go ahead with their agitation as the national air carrier was going through a "critical juncture".

"You should not go on a strike at this critical juncture. It is a question of your revival. Strike will send wrong signals to passengers," Patel told reporters here.

He said the Air India management has been holding discussions and will continue with the exercise to find an amicable solution.

The salary payment to Air India employees was delayed in June and the airlines top management has been asked to forego July salary.
