Pranab Mukherjee to present Interim Budget at 1100 hrs

Pranab Mukherjee, who is holding additional charge of the finance portfolio, will be presenting the Interim Budget for 2009-10 today at 1100 hrs.

Pranab yesterday met the Prime Minister and discussed budget-related issues with him.

Singh went through the interim budget related papers and after formally signing them, forwarded them to President Pratibha Patil, a PMO spokesman said.

"The Prime Minister also approved the interim budget speech," the spokesman added.
