Raghuram G Rajan, the Professor of Finance at the Indian School of Business, Hyderabad, and Joseph L Gidwitz Professor of Finance at the University of Chicago, has been awarded the prestigious Fischer Black Prize by the American Finance Association.
AMA awards the prize on the lines of the Fields medal in mathematics. The award was set up in honour of Fisher Black, a co-inventor of the Nobel prize winning Black Scholes Merton options-pricing model.
