"The hike in price of diesel will not affect passenger fares or freight charges," he told reporters on Friday. Prasad was here with his family on a pilgrimage to the famous hill shrine of Lord Venkateswara.
He said that the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) will continue its alliance with the Congress at the Centre. Replying to a question on the outcome of recent Karnataka assembly elections, he said it was the H D Deve Gowda-led JD(S) that had been badly defeated and not the Congress.
He also alleged that Maoist activities were rampant in Bihar ever since Nitish Kumar took over as the chief minister.
