A farmers' body in Haryana has accused procurement agencies of making false claims about purchasing wheat from foodgrains market and centres set up at various places in the state. |
"Many farmers unloaded their produce in the foodgrains markets yesterday but none of the officials from any of the procurement agencies turned up for buying wheat," Kisan Sabha secretary SN Solanki said today. |
Solanki said the farmers were forced to sell their produce to private traders at throw-away price and demanded stern action against the procurement agencies' officials. |
