Sukhbir, who attended the meeting of senior officials of Punjab Urban Development Authority (PUDA) and other concerned departments said that in the proposed project of New Amritsar City Centre, two five star hotels of 22 stories and 16 stories would be constructed apart from a commercial and residential projects.
"Project has been finalized today and very soon bids will be invited for the projects by private parties", he said adding that for the development of Jalandhar, it has been decided to make optimum use of vacant land in the district by selling it off to initiate mega developmental projects.
"Rs 200 crore will be spent to construct ring road in Jalandhar, apart from other projects" officials who attended the meeting told reporters adding that very soon the vacant government in Jalandhar has already been identified and to be auctioned for the developmental projects.
Earlier, a Singapore based company Jurang which is already running several projects in Mohali, gave its representation to develop section 62 of Mohali and assured that it would chalk out a comprehensive master plan to develop the knowledge city under the consultation of Greater Mohali Area Development Authority (GMADA).
