JD(S) leaders today staged a dharna in front of Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa’s official residence here today protesting ‘’discrimination’’ in release of funds for development of North Karnataka Region.
They were led by deputy leader in the Karnataka Legislative Assembly Bandeppa Kashempur.
The chief minister’s legal advisor Diwakar met the protesters, received their memorandum and assured them that Yeddyurappa would soon a call a meeting of elected representatives to hear their grievances.
Former minister Alkod Hanumanthappa, Karadi Sanganna, Subash Guttedar, Nadagouda (All MLAs), former chairman of the legislative council David Simeon and others participated in the dharna.
