Provide special e-mail ID for IPO grievances: Sebi

The Securities and Exchange Board of India (Sebi) has asked various entities related to a public issue including merchant bankers, registrars, underwriters and bankers to designate a special e-mail identification, whereto the investors could register their issues with the grievances redressal system.

The market regulator, in a circular issued today advised all registered merchant bankers, registrars to an issue, share transfer agents, debenture trustees, bankers and underwriters to mention the e-mail ID of their grievance redressal division or compliance officer exclusively for purpose of registering the complaints by investors.

"The above entities are also advised to display the email ID and other relevant details prominently on their websites and in the various materials/pamphlets/advertisement campaigns initiated by them for creating investor awareness," a Sebi circular said.
