PSU banks donate for relief

Our Economy Bureau New Delhi
The Union Bank of India has contributed Rs 2 crore to the Prime Minister's Relief Fund for relief work in the tsunami-affected areas.
 
Punjab National Bank also said it was taking steps to provide financial assistance and relief measures for industrial units, agriculturists, traders and others affected by the tsunami.
 
It has also decided to donate Rs 5 crore to the Prime Minister's Relief Fund In addition, all PNB employees have decided to contribute a day's salary to the fund.
