Pune-based construction group Goel Ganga Developments has planned two township projects worth Rs 415 crore under the new township policy of the Maharashtra government.

The projects, planned on 62 acres of land, will be coming up in Kharadi and Mohammadwadi - areas being looked at as emerging information technology (IT) hubs of Pune city.

Apart from luxurious residential apartments, the two townships will have shopping malls, multiplexes and five-star hotels.

Subhash Goel, chairman, Goel Ganga Developments, said the group plans to complete the projects in four-five years.

"The township in Kharadi is spread over 30 acres while the one in Mohammadwadi is of 32 acres. Both the projects will be executed as per the rules and guidelines of the new township policy. The work on the projects is expected to begin in six months," said Chetan Patel, director, Mahanagar Constructions, a partner in the township projects.

A Singapore-based township designer company has been engaged for the projects.
