Disclosing this here today a spokesperson of the Punjab government said that Badal directed PUDA(Punjab Uraban Development Authority) for zoning of the area near the historic Gurdawara Ber Sahib at Sultanpur Lodhi to prevent any haphazard residential construction.

It was also informed in the meeting that a Regulatory Wing of PUDA has been constituted to check unauthorised and illegal constructions falling in the jurisdiction of all the six authorities in their respective areas, in addition it would also ensure 100per cent compliance of all the by-laws in these areas.

The Chief Minister further asked the board to prepare new master plans for the big villages with population equivalent to a small town.
